Contract Manager

Elvet Recruitment are on the lookout for a Contracts Manager with experience overseeing construction projects over 5m.

This position is with a main contractor in Yorkshire, and will involve overseeing schemes from inception to completion, developing relationships with clients and subcontractors, ensuring the safety of all those on site and resolving contractual issues that may arise.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following duties:

• Identify new business opportunities and manage the expectations of new and current clients across Yorkshire, ensuring a strong relationship for future projects.
• Produce their own programmes and tenders.
• Manage each scheme from start to finish, reporting to the Directors and Clients with progress reports. Ensuring each scheme can be closed out in line with contractual requirements.
• Ensure that the H&S guidelines are adhered to on-site and operatives are working in a safe manner.
• Planning upcoming works, schedules, implementing RAMS and keeping a record of all site documentation.
• Organise labour and resources to effectively combat issues and maximise profits.
• Carry out training reviews to make sure that all staff are properly equipped to carry out the work.
• Work closely alongside the commercial team in order to secure the best margins as well as supporting tenders.

To be considered you will hold some, if not all, of the following:

Must have:

• Experience working as Senior Project/Contracts Manager on commercial, industrial, leisure and healthcare projects.
• Experience managing projects 5m+ from inception to completion.
• SMSTS

Remuneration

The client is offering a salary up to 75,000 (depending on experience) alongside a generous package including Car/Car allowance.
