About

The Role

We have a great opportunity for you to support FGH’s Warehousing & Logistics Programmer, where you will utilise best practice Business Analysis techniques, skills and behaviours. In this role you will also support the Business Architect by bringing knowledge and understanding from projects to the broader architecture domain. The role sits within the Business Change Team which is part of FGH’s Value Delivery Office function.

The Business Analyst will be a key individual in providing support to the Warehouse / Logistics programme, through strong business analytical skills, facilitation skills and effective relationship building.

Accountabilities
  • Exhibit solid and comprehensive business analysis skills, including the ability to think in a clear and structured way, and to bring clarity and structure where there is complexity and a lack of understanding.
  • Work with a range of different stakeholders and navigate through complex issues to get to a conclusion, bringing stakeholders with you as much as possible.
  • To develop high quality documents, particularly in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, which are clear, well‑constructed and well‑formatted, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Support or lead in workshops, which may include, as a guide, the following activities:
    • Mapping new / optimised warehousing, logistics, supply chain processes
    • Defining and approving business requirements
    • Leading cross‑functional workshops, ensuring goals and objectives are clearly understood and outputs are clearly articulated.
  • Generally be prepared to take a supporting or lead role, depending upon the need. Working with the PM on your projects, you may be asked to take ownership for specific deliverables or activities, and you will need to be comfortable working to a brief, rather than be spoon fed specific tasks to carry out.
  • Through working on your project or projects, and working with other subject‑matter experts and the Business Architect, act as the Manufacturing/Logistics/Supply Chain process expert.
  • Support the Business Architect in developing a Business Architecture which captures essential aspects of the business using the knowledge you build up in your role.
  • Play an active role in UAT to ensure test plans align with requirements/designs and any changes or defects are fully understood and impact assessed.
  • Be comfortable with and have experience of all or most of the below:
    • Capturing and documenting business processes to an agreed standard (which you may be asked to help establish), using Visio or similar tool.
    • Capturing and documenting business requirements, including supporting MOSCOWing, tracing through solution and testing, and generally ensuring that scope is delivered as agreed.
    • Working with business stakeholders to capture Business Change assets, such as Business Change Impact analysis items, Training Needs, Process Changes etc, which will drive business‑led change as part of implementation of a project.
    • Carrying out Root Cause Analysis to support business in identifying business change needs.
    • Facilitating and contributing to formal document review, both by providing structured and clear feedback, and by coordinating the feedback of others and tracking to ensure all comments have been addressed. Employ clear quality criteria in doing this which may be provided or you may need to develop to ensure a consistent, high‑quality outcome.
