Teaching Assistant & MDSA

Salary: Teaching Assistant (Grade D4- £13.05ph) and MDSA (Grade B2- £12.65ph)

Hours of work: 11.5 hours per week as a Teaching Assistant and 1 hour per week as a MDSA

Contract type: Fixed Term contract until 31 August 2026, Term time only.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly motivated part‑time teaching assistant to join our wonderful school family at Westwood with Iford Primary School.

We are proud to be a diverse workforce where everyone plays a vital role. Working primarily under direction of the Class Teacher and the SENDCo you will support a student with planned learning activities and programmes on a 1:1 basis. The role will also involve supporting the midday supervisory team over the children’s lunch break.

This is a rewarding role where you will be supporting young people on their educational journey, inspiring them to break barriers and communicating with parents to establish positive home/school relationships.
