Non-Exempt Primary Function:
Under the direct supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Bus Driver is responsible for the operation of vans and small and large buses, in transporting children from school to the Clubs, and driving on designated field trips.
Key Roles (EssentialJob Responsibilities ):
Does not supervise any employees.
Key Result Area:Consistently on time with student pickups.
Maintain a safe driving record.
Requirements Job Specifications:- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Class B or higher with both “P” and “S” endorsements.
- Completion of a First Aid Course.
- Completion of a performance test in bus operations.
- Knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules and regulations.
- Able to take precautions to avoid accidents.
- Operate a bus in a safe and economical manner.
- Able to understand and carry out instructions.
- Must be able to perform work requiring good physical condition.
- Able to relate to children, parents and Boys & Girls Club personnel.
- Must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical.
Must be able to handle stress while dealing with passengers and traffic. Must be able to handle the responsibility for the safety of passengers. DISCLAIMER:
