The Assistant Manager at Fit2

Run supports the Store Manager in daily retail operations, team leadership, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role plays a key part in driving sales, maintaining brand standards, and ensuring customers receive expert product knowledge and personalized service related to running, walking, and fitness footwear and apparel.

• Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure a welcoming store environment
• Support sales goals through product knowledge, customer engagement, and upselling
• Train, coach, and motivate team members to meet performance standards
• Assist with staff scheduling, timekeeping, and coverage as needed
• Ensure proper merchandising, visual displays, and inventory accuracy
• Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
• Support inventory receiving, stocking, and loss prevention procedures
• Maintain store cleanliness and compliance with company policies
• Step in as acting Store Manager when the Store Manager is unavailable

• High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework a plus)
• 1–3 years of retail experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for fitness, running, walking, or athletic footwear preferred
• Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with a team
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as required
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
