Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner, and appropriate others. Coordinates multidisciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal health care outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. The concepts of Patient-Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
Key Responsibilities- Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
- Exhibits strong communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
- Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
- Minimum of one year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care specialty nursing.
- One to three years of supervisory experience, preferred.
- Additional certifications required at start date or intrafacility transfer:
- All Nursing Units (except nursery): ACLS as of start date (New graduate RNs within 90 days of start date)
- Women—Center: NRP as of start date (inexperienced L&D nurses within 90 days of start date)
- ICU/PCU: NIH within 90 days of start date.
- ER: PALS, CPI within 90 days of start date, NIH within 90 days of start date.
- PACU: PALS as of start date (inexperienced PACU nurses within 90 days of start date).
