About Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH)

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Part of the Manatee Healthcare System, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The 295‑bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment, including cardiac care, emergency care for all ages, surgery services, weight‑loss program, orthopedic services, radiology, rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services.

MMH also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities
  • Promote and provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Demonstrate professional leadership and support to the healthcare team while providing the foundation of all patient‑centered nursing care.
  • Communicate with physicians and other nursing staff about patient needs.
  • Administer IVs and medications to aid in patient health.
  • Use medical equipment to monitor patient vital signs.
Job Information
  • Position:
    Full‑time nights in the Emergency Room.
  • Preferred Experience:

    1‑3 years of emergency nursing experience.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in Florida.
  • Current BLS certificate through American Heart Association.
  • Current ACLS certificate through American Heart Association.
  • Current PALS certificate through American Heart Association.
  • Current NIH Stroke certification.
  • Completion of CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) within 90 days of hire.
