Job OverviewThe Director of Women’s Services has 24‑hour responsibility for personnel, nursing care, and operations of the Women’s Center, which includes Labor and Delivery, Post‑Partum, Nursery, and GYN services.
Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate, operationalize, and evaluate program growth and fiscal responsibility, ensuring quality and appropriate nursing care on the units.
- Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer to set, implement, monitor, and evaluate safe, high‑quality, evidence‑based standards of care.
- Participate on assigned hospital and medical committees.
- Lead patient experience for the unit/department.
- Promote collaborative relationships among nursing services, other departments, the community, and medical staff.
- Work with the Senior Management team to develop strategies for department growth.
- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.
- Utilize strong communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in Women’s Services at a Manager level or above.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of nursing leadership experience.
- Prior clinical experience in obstetrics or women’s health as an RN required.
- Current and active BLS; ACLS & NRP.
- Current RN license in the State of Florida.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills.
