Responsibilities:

• As part of a patient-first approach, nurse interns partner with a registered nurse, preceptor, or other licensed professional to develop critical thinking skills and prepare for the transition to clinical practice upon graduating from an accredited program.
• Create and nurture relationships with patients, families, community, colleagues and staff in a caring and healing environment, exercising teamwork skills within a professional practice environment.
• Strive for excellent patient safety and quality outcomes, demonstrate service excellence at all times, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma/GED is not required. Vocational/Technical School/Diploma, Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree are acceptable. Completion of Level 1 Fundamentals of Nursing is preferred.
• Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Active enrollment in an accredited RN or LPN program and completion of at least one semester of such program required.
• Preferred Experience: Previous Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience is preferred.
