Position SummaryBakery seeking an experienced Bilingual English/Spanish
Production Supervisor to lead our night‑shift 7PM – 5AM: 5 Day work week, production operations at our Bradenton, FL facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, this leader will oversee and coordinate all activities on the production lines, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality output.
Seeking a hands-on, respected people leader, someone who thrives on problem‑solving, motivates teams, drives continuous improvement, and operates with an entrepreneurial mindset. This role requires independent decision‑making within established guidelines, with occasional direction on non‑routine matters.
Key Responsibilities- Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure production goals are met while maintaining Bakery's quality and safety standards. Confirm all data entered company systems is complete and accurate.
- Lead & Develop Teams: Build an engaged, high-performing workforce through coaching, training, mentorship, and regular goal-setting conversations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner daily with internal teams, ensuring timely communication—especially with maintenance—regarding equipment needs or issues.
- Performance Improvement and Continuous Improvement:
- Champion Safety: Foster a “safety first, safety always” culture. Enforce policies, procedures, and accountability to protect employees.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure team adherence to all Food Safety and Quality policies, including EEO, Harassment Prevention, and Quality systems.
- Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned, aligned with the scope of the Production Supervisor role.
- Minimum 2 years of bakery or food/beverage manufacturing experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED
- Familiarity with Autonomous Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, SOPs, and equipment manuals (English)
- Ability to write routine reports and internal communications (English)
- Strong numerical reasoning (fractions, decimals, whole numbers)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
- Demonstrated ability to embody and promote company values
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and handling materials
- Occasional climbing, balancing, tasting, or smelling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and more with assistance
- Visual demands include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment
- Occasional exposure to wet, hot, or humid conditions
- Handling products or equipment that may be extremely hot
