Packing & Shipping Associate American Tin Ceilings @ Renovation Brands About This Position
American Tin Ceilings is a growing manufacturing company in the Bradenton, FL area that is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Packer supporting our Shipping department. This position will be responsible for performing general physical activities including but not limited to packing, loading, unloading, sorting, counting, and moving products and shipments by hand, pallet jack or forklift in order to support our shipping performance requirements.
Location& Schedule
- Location: Bradenton, FL. On-site.
- Schedule: 7:00am – 3:30pm. Mon-Fri. Full time. Opportunities for overtime pay.
- Hourly Pay Rate: $14.00 - $17.00 (experience & interview performance will determine actual number within the range).
- Reports to: Front-Line Supervisor
- Pull, handle, count, pack and label various products into boxes for delivery to customers.
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of shipment.
- Verify quantity and description of materials shipped by checking merchandise against packing list.
- Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Correspond with appropriate individuals regarding problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
- Maintain and improve upon the safe and clean workstations while adhering to all safety policies and guidelines.
- Arrives at work on time daily and with an optimistic demeanor.
- Other duties as required.
- Experience in a packing or shipping role in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
- Operate pallet jack with option of advancing to forklift certification.
- Reliable, Responsive, and Committed to Quality.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions.
- Possess organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Detail oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced production environment.
- Interested in growth within the company and willing to invest the effort.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift in excess of 50 lbs. repeatedly each day.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull parts and parts containers.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time each day.
- Ability to work safely around equipment and follow safety rules.
- Ability to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment.
