American Tin Ceilings is seeking a highly skilled Artisan Polisher & Finisher to add final touches to our tin ceiling products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.

$18.40/hr - $20.70/hr

• Prepare tin ceiling panels and accessories for finishing by sanding, filling, and ensuring a smooth surface free from imperfections.
• Apply polishing, buffing, painting, staining, or coating to enhance appearance and durability.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet the company's quality standards, including color consistency, surface smoothness, and overall visual appeal.
• Assist in selecting appropriate polishing and finishing materials, including abrasives, compounds, solvents, paints, or coatings, based on project requirements.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot polishing and finishing equipment, including sanders, buffers, and sprayers, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Follow work orders and production schedules to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and comply with environmental regulations and hazardous material disposal.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including production, design, and quality assurance, to ensure effective communication and coordination.

• Proven experience as an Artisan Polisher & Finisher or similar role, preferably in metal fabrication or construction.
• Proficient knowledge of polishing, buffing, painting, staining, or coating techniques and familiarity with various finishing materials and equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in metal finishing is preferred.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for quality, with the ability to identify and resolve surface imperfections.
• Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work with hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate in a fast‑paced environment.
