Overview of the HR Generalist role:
The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting a range of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and benefits administration. This role requires a hands-on, organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems while supporting employees and leadership alike.
Key responsibilities for the HR Generalist include:
- Manage recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and concerns
- Assist with performance review cycles and employee development initiatives
- Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with state and federal regulations
- Support benefits administration and open enrollment
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
- Help foster a positive and productive work culture
Qualifications for the HR Generalist:
- 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or related HR role
- Must be comfortable with benefits, understands Health Insurance, and knows how to conduct investigations.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a bonus but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
