Assistant General Manager – Wood Spring Suites, Bradenton, FL
Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our team. You will lead the operations in the absence of the General Manager and assist them with leading the team, ensuring that our service standards are consistently exceeded.

Primary Duties:
- Team Lead:
Train and provide guidance to staff, discuss performance discrepancies, and lead staff huddles. - Financial:
Post checks in PMS, complete weekly labor tracker, manage payment‑due reports, and handle post‑paid outs and receipts. - Guest Relations:
Keep the hotel “Guest Ready” by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, swiftly addressing concerns, gathering feedback, and selling amenities. - Housekeeping:
Assign rooms to housekeeping and aid the GM in room inspections. - Inventory & Vendor Relations:
Manage inventory, check property email, and build relationships with vendors and guests. - Sales & Marketing:
Network locally and promote the property, leading in‑house sales initiatives to increase occupancy. - Teamwork & Coverage:
Assist with housekeeping duties as needed and cover shifts for operational continuity. - Emergency Procedures:
Follow property emergency procedures and ensure guest and property security. - Other Duties as Assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of hotel leadership experience, including front‑desk and back‑of‑house operations.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong team‑building skills.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proactive in solving problems.
Physical Requirements:
- Perform tasks involving kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting, bending, and twisting for long periods.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 20 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
