Located in Bradenton, FL, our in-house subacute rehab team works collaboratively to help residents recover from surgery, illness, or injury and regain their independence.
Position SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans and assist residents in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy treatments to patients as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist in the development and modification of care plans based on patient progress
- Document treatments, patient responses, and progress in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care
- Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, clean environment
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and functional mobility strategies
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Florida PTA license (or ability to obtain before start date)
- CPR certification
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred
- Strong communication, clinical, and time management skills
- Team-oriented with a passion for improving patient outcomes
