Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Full Time

Manatee Springs Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Bradenton, FL

At Manatee Springs Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, we are committed to delivering top-tier skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in a compassionate and supportive environment. Located in Bradenton, FL, our in-house subacute rehab team works collaboratively to help residents recover from surgery, illness, or injury and regain their independence.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans and assist residents in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physical therapy treatments to patients as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist in the development and modification of care plans based on patient progress
  • Document treatments, patient responses, and progress in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care
  • Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, clean environment
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and functional mobility strategies
  • Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Florida PTA license (or ability to obtain before start date)
  • CPR certification
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing or subacute rehab setting preferred
  • Strong communication, clinical, and time management skills
  • Team-oriented with a passion for improving patient outcomes
