Medical Assistant - Rye Rd

Position Summary

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, venipuncture, and other procedures as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State.

• Documentation recorded in Electronic Medical Record in accordance with MPA guideline.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Assists in covering front desk as required.
• General medical procedures.
• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliations process.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate required or must be able to obtain certification within 6 months of employment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check‑in and check‑out procedures.
• Minimum of 1 year of medical experience preferred.
• Reliability, responsibility and dependability required.
• Detail‑oriented and thorough in completing work tasks.
