Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a radiologist and defined protocols, perform and assist with diagnostic ultrasound procedures without constant supervision.
• Initiate technical procedures such as abdominal, small parts, OB/GYN, and vascular ultrasound scans.
• Perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and apply prescribed sound waves for diagnosis or intervention.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required and demonstrate service excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Registration in general sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) required.
• Registration in vascular technology by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RVT) preferred.
• BLS certified required.
