Job Overview

Under the direction of the Imaging Director and Medical Director, the Interventional Radiology Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Radiology Department, including Imaging, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT, Ultrasound, Special Procedures, and the freestanding Emergency Department. The role assists the Director with long‑range planning, projections, and provides reports and analysis of radiology statistics. Duties also include maintaining quality control measures, performance improvement, PACS administration, charge reconciliation, equipment maintenance, and staff preparedness.

The supervisor actively participates in budgeting new equipment and staffing to improve productivity, minimize exposure, and eliminate waste.

General Responsibilities
  • 24/7 responsibility for staffing and on‑call schedules.
  • Interview and recommend candidates for new professional staff hires.
  • Develop and maintain departmental training files for regulatory compliance.
  • Assure compliance with regulatory standards and develop department meetings, communicating these to 24/7 staff.
  • Provide patient services and fill in as needed in a clinical role, including acting for the Director during absences.
  • Demonstrate service excellence at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience:

    3 years experience in a supervisory / lead role preferred.
  • Training:
    Acute care experience and quality metrics experience preferred.
  • Licensure:
    Licensed and in good standing with ARRT, NMTCB, ARDMS, and the Florida State Department of Health.
  • Other:
    Moderate computer skills required; excellent communication and reasoning skills; excellent customer service skills; ability to work independently; ability to learn new tasks such as registration of patients, charge reconciliation, risk event management, QA/QC management, etc.; willingness to take ownership in the FED and Imaging Department environments and all daily operations.
