As the new Director, you will provide direction and management of the medical services office (MSO) activities and serve as the primary liaison between the hospital and Credential Processing Center (CPC). Responsibilities and qualifications follow.

• Ensure confidentiality of medical staff committee records.
• Oversee administrative schedules, medical staff meetings, and assist officers in complying with bylaws.
• Ensure Medical Staff Office and credentialing program meets Medical Staff standards, The Joint Commission, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Interpret and enforce regulatory guidelines, including bylaws and fair hearing plans.
• Oversee coordination, development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of the new physician orientation program.

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) and/or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred.
• Three to five years’ experience in a medical staff office.
• Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations.
• Previous credentialing and management experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Joint Commission accreditation process and standards.
