Job Summary And Qualifications
Lead Mammography Technician
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Lead Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity. This is a lead opportunity with a full-time schedule, & experience is required.
As a Lead Mammographer, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation
- Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
- Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Mammography Technician
- Graduate of a 24-month Radiologic Technology program at an AMA-approved institution
- Valid ARRT (R) and ARRT (M)
