. As our Manager, you will provide leadership for the daily operations for the SPD Department. You will ensure the maintenance and quality sterilization procedures and accurate record keeping of these procedures. Your actions will assure adequate instrumentation functionality and availability for surgical services and various other areas of the hospital.

Your duties and responsibilities may include:

• Model responsibility and accountability
• Provide instruction and direction to the team
• Handle upset customers and communicate with other departments as needed
• Perform quality control and continually evaluate work process and productivity
• Ensure clear communications to the team such as clarifying roles and responsibilities of team members
• Assess and suggest procedural changes to help attain departmental goals
• Involve your team in team decisions and actions
• Assist the Director in maintaining and monitoring the budget

What qualifications you will need:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 3-5 years’ experience in SPD (Sterile Processing Distribution), 2-3 years’ experience as Sterile Processing Supervisor or above
• Current CS/SPD certification with either the CBSSPD or the IAHCSMM
• Must be able to lift and/or carry 50 pounds
