Job Title: Configuration Management Specialist

Base Salary Rate : $79,178-$93,150

About this role

This position is for a Configuration Management Specialist for the KGS Edwards brand of commercial fire products. In the role of a Configuration Management Specialist, you’ll work with the New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering teams with the product configuration and change management-related tasks to ensure the accurate and consistent management of a product's configuration throughout its lifecycle, from design to end-of-life.

This includes reviewing and evaluating design changes to manage the impact of changes on existing systems, ensuring proper documentation and approval through formal change control processes

• Create or update items, such as mechanical parts or bills of materials, in PDXpert.
• Create or peer review change notices and deviations
• Ensure all items being released in PDXpert are compliant with company standards.
• Train engineers in PDXpert processes when requested
• Understanding of engineering and manufacturing bill of material structure
• Lead the Configuration Management team’s efforts in supporting specific new product development team projects.
• Provide clear and timely status updates to the engineering teams being supported.
• Perform moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects

• 2 year degree or technical certification and 8 years’ of engineering experience
• 5 + years of experience working with Product Lifecycle Management systems

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
• Problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global environment.
• Attention to details as well as the ability to work independently
• Written and verbal communication skills
• AutoCAD experience
• Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) for maintaining or creating MS Excel macros.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
