THE WORK YOU WILL DOTSM&O Engineer‑Freeways / District One / Traffic Operations
This position will spend the majority of its time supervising, communicating with, motivating, training and evaluating employees, meeting regularly with employees to assign work, establishing work objectives and timelines to ensure objectives are met, planning and directing activities associated with the transportation systems management and operations (TSM&O) master plan and updates, monitoring performance measures to maximize safety, and developing and managing consultant contracts that support AMS/FMS functions.

YOUR SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES- Supervise, communicate, motivate, train and evaluate employees, and plan and direct their work.
- Manage performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and personnel paperwork.
- Plan, direct, organize, track and manage activities related to the TSM&O master plan and its updates.
- Identify and oversee projects that enhance AMS and FMS infrastructure.
- Provide liaison with government agencies and the public for coordination of AMS/FMS projects.
- Oversee development and implementation of incident management techniques and alternative route diversion plans.
- Sign and seal engineering documents as required.
- Develop and manage consultant contracts and related agreements.
