383-bed tertiary hospital serving Manatee county communities since 1973, Blake’s specialty programs include a Verified Level II Trauma Center and one of only six Burn Centers in Florida. In 2016, Blake treated close to 100,000 patients, with services including cardiovascular surgery with TAVR, cancer care, joint replacement, back surgery and rehabilitation. Blake is located in Bradenton, on the southern tip of Tampa Bay and adjacent to some of Florida’s most popular beaches including Bradenton Beach and Anna Maria Island.
In addition to great fishing, dining, golfing and beautiful sunsets, the area boasts one of the largest discount shopping outlets in nearby Ellenton. Blake is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, Advanced Primary Stroke Center and boasts several Joint Commission disease specific certifications. The hospital is also accredited as a Community Cancer Program (CoC) and Inpatient Rehabilitation Center (CARF).
In July 2017, the hospital welcomed its inaugural class of Internal Medicine residents, becoming HCA West Florida’s seventh hospital sponsoring GME.
