Position SummaryReporting to the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, venipuncture, and procedures as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State.
Responsibilities- Documentation recorded in Electronic Medical Record in accordance with MPA guideline.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Assist in covering front desk as required.
- Perform general medical procedures.
- Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process.
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Position will work from our Rye Road Office in Lakewood Ranch, at 1854 Rye Road East, Bradenton, FL 34212.
About the OrganizationIndependence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi‑specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. - Detail-oriented and thorough in completing work tasks.
