Staff Accountant
Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11–17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home.
ResponsibilitiesPalm Shores is currently hiring an experienced full‑time Staff Accountant who will be responsible for the daily intra‑company billings, payroll, accounts payable, assist with month end, and financial accounting responsibilities for the facility. All functions and duties for this position are in accordance with IRS and current acceptable accounting principles and practices. Experience with UKG/Pro Workforce for timekeeping and Lawson or similar HRIS such as Workday for payroll processing.

Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field. - Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in accounts payable/payroll experience, preferably in a health care setting, with a working knowledge of personal computers, payroll/accounts payable systems, Microsoft Word and Excel. - Skills:
Have the ability to deal with diverse and stress related situations in a calm manner. Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy. Effective oral and written communication and guest relation skills required. Must have good organizational and computer technical skills and have the ability to set priorities. - Physical Requirements:
Visual acuity, accurate hearing, extensive sitting and ability to lift twenty (20) pounds.
