Accountant, Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant

Schedule: Hybrid, 4 days onsite, 1 day remote (any day except Monday)

Compensation: $80K to $95K base

A growing insurance organization is seeking a Accountant to join its Bradenton team. This role offers strong visibility, multi-entity exposure, and meaningful involvement in the month end close process following a recent acquisition.

• Prepare and post routine and non routine journal entries accurately and timely.
• Manage and reconcile subledgers related to premiums, claims, and reinsurance balances.
• Record and analyze premium and loss activity in accordance with insurance accounting standards.
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Support the general ledger and monthly close process across multiple subsidiaries.
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare required monthly reporting to insurance departments.
• Compile documentation and support for external auditors and examiners.
• Prepare and distribute reports to partners, lenders, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Generate additional internal reports as requested by leadership.
• Provide support to the Controller, Assistant Controller, and broader accounting team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA is a plus)
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience. Staff Accountants seeking a step up are encouraged to apply.
• Insurance industry experience required or strongly preferred.
• Experience working with outside auditors and regulatory examiners.
• Experience with a major ERP system, Business Central preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables , ERP is Business Central
• Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration.

• Base salary range: $80,000 to $95,000.
• Hybrid schedule, one remote day per week, not Mondays.
