Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and have a strong background in corporate tax and general ledger management.

Responsibilities:

- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.

- Manage month-end close processes, including preparing financial statements and reports.

- Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

- Create and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

- Monitor general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.

- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial procedures and reporting.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and practices.

- Analyze financial data to support business decisions and strategies.

Requirements

- Proficiency in creating and posting journal entries.

- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting.

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

- Familiarity with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.

- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
