per annum (DOE) Paid Overtime Bonus
Full-Time 40 Hours per Week (Rotating Shifts)
About Us:A 46‑bedroom family‑run hotel set within 10 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside conveniently located between Royal Windsor and Ascot. Our restaurant is known for its warm service and consistent delivery of high‑quality food from breakfast and lunch through to weddings functions and seasonal events.
The Role:We’re seeking a passionate Chef de Partie or experienced Junior Sous Chef ready to step up into a supportive leadership role within our kitchen team. You’ll play a vital part in day‑to‑day service helping maintain consistency standards and a calm collaborative working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare, cook and present high‑quality dishes across all sections.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety and cleanliness.
- Support the Sous and Head Chef with daily prep, service and menu development.
- Take ownership of your section, ensuring mise en place and smooth service.
- Mentor junior members and deputise when needed.
- Contribute creative ideas for specials, functions and seasonal menus.
- Help manage stock rotation and assist with orders and deliveries.
- Uphold all food safety, health and hygiene standards (including COSHH).
Rotas are based on a 40‑hour working week and include:
- Early: 6:45 am – 3:00 pm
- Split/Day: 12:00 pm – 9:00 pm (extended hours for functions possible)
- Late: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Flexibility is expected during busy periods and special events.
What We’re Looking For:- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous in a quality kitchen.
- Ability to manage a section confidently and consistently under pressure.
- Strong work ethic and a genuine passion for cooking.
- Team player who enjoys contributing to a positive kitchen culture.
- Good understanding of food safety and kitchen best practices.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the team.
