Overview

Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef Hotel
Bracknell Berkshire
per annum (DOE) Paid Overtime Bonus
Full-Time 40 Hours per Week (Rotating Shifts)

A 46-bedroom family-run hotel set within 10 acres of stunning Berkshire countryside conveniently located between Royal Windsor and Ascot. Our restaurant is known for its warm service and consistent delivery of high-quality food from breakfast and lunch through to weddings functions and seasonal events.

The Role

We’re seeking a passionate Chef de Partie or experienced Junior Sous Chef ready to step up into a supportive leadership role within our kitchen team. Youll play a vital part in day-to-day service helping maintain consistency standards and a calm collaborative working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare cook and present high-quality dishes across all sections.

  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene safety and cleanliness.

  • Support the Sous and Head Chef with daily prep service and menu development.

  • Take ownership of your section ensuring mise en place and smooth service.

  • Support with mentoring junior members of the team and deputising when needed.

  • Contribute creative ideas for specials functions and seasonal menus.

  • Help manage stock rotation and assist with orders and deliveries.

  • Uphold all food safety health and hygiene standards (including COSHH).

Shifts

Rotas are based on a 40-hour working week and include:

  • Early: 6:45am 3:00pm

  • Split/Day: 12:00pm 9:00pm (extended hours for functions possible)

  • Late: 2:00pm 10:00pm

Flexibility is expected during busy periods and special events.

What Were Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous in a quality kitchen.

  • Ability to manage a section confidently and consistently under pressure.

  • Strong work ethic and a genuine passion for cooking.

  • A team player who enjoys contributing to a positive kitchen culture.

  • Good understanding of food safety and kitchen best practices.

  • Willingness to learn and grow with the team.
