About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled specialist to support a transformation programme within a major UK organisation. You'll be joining a substantial Technology portfolio focused on reducing operational risk, modernising Legacy tools, and ensuring system and regulatory compliance.
This role sits within the Networks & Infrastructure function and will play a key part in a high-profile initiative to remediate, convert, and modernise Microsoft Office-based tools into cloud-native solutions within Google Workspace.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and VBA, to assess current toolsets and dependencies.
- Analyse existing macro-driven workflows and advise on modernisation opportunities.
- Apply deep expertise in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and Google App Script to shape scalable cloud-based solutions.
- Act as the SME for converting complex VBA macros into Google App Script.
- Design and develop in-house automation tools, plug-ins, converters, and extensions.
- Lead technical delivery to ensure smooth migration from local Office-based tools to Workspace.
- Run detailed requirements sessions and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and end users to support adoption and deployment of the new tools.
