Application Security Architect
Onsite in Bracknell
Eligible for DV clearance
£65-70k per annum + benefits package

We are seeking an experienced Security Application Architect to support the delivery and ongoing evolution of a secure Gateway capability for a strategic UK defence customer
. This role combines architectural ownership, secure design governance, and operational assurance within a high-security, mission-critical environment. You'll shape technical direction, drive change, and ensure resilient, compliant solution delivery across engineering and support teams.

• Own and design technical changes required to maintain and enhance Gateway capability
• Produce high-quality design documentation in collaboration with the customer and Programme Manager
• Support solution governance and architectural integrity
• Ensure ongoing availability, resilience and security compliance
• Provide architectural guidance during troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Act as a key technical interface between engineering delivery and operational support teams

You will ideally be an experienced grade architect with a strong design and development background and proven experience with Gateway technologies.

  • Digital file format handling
  • Shell scripting
  • REGEX
  • Firewall technologies

• Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
• Able to translate customer requirements into robust, secure designs
• Confident communicator at technical and leadership levels
• Willing to travel weekly within the South / Southwest region at short notice
