Healthcare Coordinator

Job Overview

We are looking to appoint a Healthcare Coordinator to support the health, safety and wellbeing of pupils at a large 11-18 secondary school in Bracknell. This is a full-time, permanent role starting ASAP.

• £30,559 - £33,366 per annum (FTE) on the NJC Fringe Support Staff pay scale (pro rata £26,392 - £28,259 for term time only)

• Develop and maintain individual healthcare plans for students with medical needs
• Manage first aid provision, equipment and training across the site
• Oversee safe storage, recording and administration of medication
• Liaise with external health professionals and immunisation teams
• Contact parents/carers regarding illness or medical concerns
• Report serious incidents and wellbeing concerns to senior leaders and safeguarding staff

• A recognised First Aid at Work qualification
• Training in supporting conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, asthma and anaphylaxis
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Experience in a healthcare, education or child‑focused setting (desirable)
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate sensitively and clearly
