Salary & benefits

NJC Fringe Support Staff pay scale, £30,559 - £33,366 per annum (FTE). Please be mindful that this is a term time only role, so the actual pro rata per annum salary range is £26,392 - £28,259.

You will take responsibility for coordinating healthcare provision across the school, working closely with students, families and staff. Key duties include:

• Developing and maintaining individual healthcare plans for students with medical needs.
• Managing first aid provision, equipment and training across the site.
• Overseeing the safe storage, recording and administration of medication.
• Liaising with external health professionals and immunisation teams.
• Contacting parents/carers regarding illness or medical concerns.
• Reporting serious incidents and wellbeing concerns to senior leaders and safeguarding staff.

You will have:

• A recognised First Aid at Work qualification.
• Training in supporting conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, asthma and anaphylaxis.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Experience in a healthcare, education or child-focused setting (desirable).
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to communicate sensitively and clearly.
