As part of continued expansion and development an opportunity has arisen for a senior electrical design engineer with expertise in developing designs for electrical distribution systems.

You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic engineer with excellent design, communication, technical, and sustainability skills who enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams.

• As an integral member of the business, you will support the team in developing designs for electrical distribution systems from EHV, HV, MV to Low Voltage incorporating high voltage equipment, generation equipment, UPS plant, low voltage switch gear and power control and monitoring systems
• The role will include supporting meetings with the client, contractors, and other designers.
• Site visits are needed to monitor whether the construction is in accordance with the design and to resolve site queries
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team and assist with their professional development.
• Produce detailed and performance specifications for the discipline subject to review by colleagues prior to issue.
• Produce detailed equipment and carry out detailed calculations.
• System modelling
• Attend factory acceptance and on-site commissioning sessions as necessary.

• Chartered Engineer status or progressing your experience to the level that will lead to CEng status.
• Experience of supporting the delivery of complex projects in building services.
• Able to work using your own initiative with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of your discipline or have specific specialist experience applicable to the role.
• Manage multiple projects in a clear concise and co-ordinated manor.
