Join Explore Learning as a Tutor and on‑call Team Leader based at our Bracknell centre. This part‑time role offers valuable leadership, education and customer‑service experience while making a real difference in children’s lives.

• Tutor up to six children aged 4‑16 in small group sessions using the Compass learning tool.
• Create lesson plans that empower children to overcome challenges and progress, ensuring that the lessons you teach today will unlock their potential tomorrow.
• Build lasting relationships within a 16‑to‑1 group ratio, inspiring children to become fearless learners.
• Support members as they progress through the national curriculum, 11‑plus entrance exam and GCSE preparation, celebrating every achievement.
• Act as the main contact for parents and guardians, answering queries, solving problems and delivering excellent customer service.
• Lead and inspire peers, confidently supporting them in their duties and answering any questions.
• Ensure a safe environment for all children, staying vigilant to any safeguarding concerns and maintaining centre safety standards. You will be trusted to open and close the centre.
• Carry out additional responsibilities on days scheduled between 2 pm and 3 pm as required.

• Age 18 or over and right to work in the UK.
• Physical ability to travel to the centre.
• Experience working with children ages 4‑16, covering national curriculum, 11‑plus entrance exam and GCSE content.
• Long‑term commitment to ensure consistency and stability for the children you work with.
• Minimum of 6 hours per week across at least two separate days.
• Academic achievement of grade 6 or above in Maths and English at GCSE level or equivalent.

• Base pay: £10.05 per hour (ages 18‑20); £12.25 per hour (age 21+).
• Additional £0.50 per hour for work at a centre inside the M25.
• Hourly pay increased by £2 for any additional responsibilities carried out.
• 50% off Explore Learning membership fees for all immediate relatives of staff.
• £50 bonus for each tutor referred; £500 for each supervisor/manager referred.

• Paid for all training and inductions.

All successful applicants will undergo employment reference checks, a Disclosure & Barring Service check or PVG check. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
