About The Role
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market‑leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies:
Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall.
We’re looking for a Sub Agent with Earthworks experience to join our team based in the Brackley area. The role involves assisting with the construction strategy, including kick‑off meetings, pre‑commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction programmes, procurement, and design deliverable schedules. You must liaise with our Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
You will manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers.
You will also assist with the co‑ordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and maintaining the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ). Additional duties include production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.
About YouKey Skills and Qualifications
- HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent
- Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills
- Earthworks experience required
- Own transportation to get to site, as compounds are remote and not accessible by public transport
- Holder of a CSCS card (white, white/yellow, gold, black or red) and SMSTS

We were appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high‑speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. The scope includes 15 viaducts, 5 km of green tunnels, 22 km of road diversions, 67 over bridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.
