onX is seeking an iOS Engineer with a passion for trout fishing and technology. Your focus will be on the Trout Routes iOS app, including onboarding, purchasing, and map interaction. We practice data-driven decision-making and emphasize experimentation. You will be part of the Engineering team that works on the Trout Routes app. This role reports to the Trout Routes Engineering Manager.
Asan onX iOS Engineer, your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Develop new user-facing features in the Trout Routes iOS app using UIKit and SwiftUI
- Maintain 3rd party library integrations like marketing technologies and analytics engines
- Write quality code, tests and review pull requests promptly
- Participate in iOS team architecture and code standard discussions
- Create ideas and solutions related to your team’s quarterly mission
- Collaborate effectively with other team members
- Learn when to optimize for speed vs. quality to increase learnings
- Lead by example — embody our company values
onX supports a distributed workforce across several US locations. This position can be performed from an onX corporate office, Basecamp, or Connection Hub.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum five (5) years of professional software development experience, with iOS development as the focus for at least two (2) years

Compensation for this position ranges from $130,000 to $153,000 upon hire, depending on experience, skills, certifications, and education. Full-time employees are eligible for a grant of common stock options with a vesting schedule and a potential annual bonus of 10% based on company…
