What You Will DoAs an Android engineer, you will develop new user‑facing features in Kotlin, build reusable libraries, maintain an “offline‑first” app, and work with data storage (SQLite, Shared Preferences, caching). You will collaborate with designers, product owners, and other team members to ensure technical feasibility and optimization.

- Develop new user‑facing features in our Android app with Kotlin.
- Write reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Maintain an “offline first” application that works with or without service.
- Store data locally using SQLite, Shared Preferences, and disk caching.
- Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability, and battery life.

- bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science or related field.
- minimum five years professional software development experience, with at least three years focused on Android (Kotlin and/or Java).
- experience working on an app released to the Google Play Store.
- strong CS fundamentals (algorithms, data structures).
- familiarity with Git/Git Hub.
- experience with gRPC and/or REST.
- experience with SQLite or other relational databases.
- understanding of MVVM and other architectural patterns.
- excited to work with experienced developers and write great code.
- personable and fun to work with.
- self‑motivated, takes ownership, and gets stuff done.
- previous experience in mobile app development; published app experience is a plus.
- deep knowledge of data structures and their application.
- experience with Kotlin.
- experience working with a distributed team.
Between $130,000 and $153,000 upon hire, with additional equity and a potential annual bonus of 10% based on company performance.
