Assistant Retail Manager: Customer Experience & Sales

Olivelle is seeking a hospitality focused Front of House, Sales & Customer Experience leader
! This person must be customer experience obsessed with a growth minded outlook on life and work. This role is responsible for driving revenue through exceptional customer engagement, coaching the retail team to deliver elevated service, and ensuring every guest leaves inspired and excited to cook and grow within the kitchen.

This is a hands‑on leadership role. You will lead from the floor, model attentive service and confident upselling, and build a culture where hospitality and sales excellence are non‑negotiable.

This position offers a consistent, predictable schedule of Tuesday–Friday from 10am–6pm and Saturdays from 10am–5pm, giving you structured weekdays and a steady routine while still preserving your Sunday and Monday for personal time.

• Set and uphold Olivelle’s gold standard for customer experience.
• Ensure every guest is warmly greeted, guided, and educated.
• Create a tasting experience that feels elevated, intentional, and memorable.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
• Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
• Increase average ticket value through training on pairing, bundling, and suggestive selling.
• Coach team members to confidently tell the story behind products.
• Track sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Support strategic merchandising to maximize sales.

• Onboard and train all front‑of‑house team members.
• Implement ongoing training on:
  Products, Conversational selling techniques, Closing skills
• Provide real‑time floor coaching.
• Hold team members accountable to service, sales, and presentation standards.
• Lead by example during peak traffic and events.
• Maintain impeccable store presentation and tasting areas.
• Oversee front‑of‑house scheduling and staffing efficiency.
• Ensure systems and service standards are consistently followed.
• Foster a high‑energy, high‑accountability team culture.

• Work closely with the store’s manager, marketing, culinary, purchasing, and operations to align sales with vendor promotions, business strategy and store goals.

• Additional tasks as they arise.
• Meet and strategize with Retail Manager for continued growth.

• 3+ years of retail or hospitality leadership experience.
• Proven ability to increase sales and coach performance.
• Strong understanding of high‑touch retail and experiential selling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident, proactive, and detail oriented.
• Passion for food, culinary storytelling, or specialty retail.
• Ability to work weekends and high‑volume retail periods.
