Sales Merchandiser – Full Time – Bozeman, MT at Dietz and Watson

The Merchandiser’s main job function is to assist with sales and create brand awareness. A sales merchandiser should have knowledge of our products as they relate to the deli.

• Full‑time hourly position: $20.00–$22.00 based on experience
• Weekly payroll via Direct Deposit

• Safely operate a deli slicer
• Set up deli cases and appropriately rotate deli product
• Understand and execute schematics/planograms
• Maintain marketing displays using Dietz & Watson POS
• Self‑starter; work well in a team or with minimal supervision
• Manage time effectively and productively
• Complete all required reports, including store surveys
• Provide coverage to all stores within assigned territory based on store ranking
• Make regular store visits, documenting concerns/issues (e.g., shortages, equipment problems, ordering issues) and addressing them timely
• Build and maintain customer relationships, displaying high‑level customer service to deli managers, employees, and store customers
• Create and market Dietz & Watson programs
• Train new store deli hires on Dietz & Watson merits and refresh training as needed
• Communicate necessary information to Merchandiser Manager (e.g., grand openings, store closings)
• Use monthly sales reports to achieve 100% distribution
• Explore opportunities for sales growth with Merchandiser Manager
• Maintain full displays and a clean, sanitary work environment
• Perform special projects outside of assigned territory

• Flexibility and ability to travel (including flying) up to 30% of the time
• Must read and write English; computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong communication, organization, creativity, and customization skills
• Independent decision‑making ability on a regular basis
• Availability to work weekends on occasion
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of customer service/sales experience preferred; prior deli experience a plus
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Valid Real  passport for travel
• Pass company‑issued Serv Safe Manager exam

• Room temperature while in stores

• Standing, bending, twisting; lifting up to 20 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally
• Push/pull carts containing product up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Walking, reaching, use of both hands and arms
• Operate a motor vehicle; safety‑sensitive work; occasional refrigerated cooler areas
