Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN Case Manager with utilization review experience, active MT or compact RN license, and at least two years of nursing experience.
Responsibilities- Work within a hospital environment in a Case Management and Utilization Review role
- Adult med-surg patient population
- Day shift schedule from 7:30am to 4:30pm with weekend rotations
- May require on-call work as needed to meet organizational or patient needs
- Position requires sustained attendance and flexibility to work beyond standard hours
- Responsible for developing and implementing individualized case management plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Ongoing monitoring, assessment, and adjustment of care plans to achieve patient goals
- Facilitates integration of services for members including behavioral health and community support
- Requires strong judgment, discretion, and professional communication skills
- Handles emotionally challenging situations with patients and families
- May be exposed to blood borne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and infectious diseases
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and 2 years acute care case manager experience are preferred qualifications
- Active Montana or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Must have utilization review experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Must live at least 90 miles from the facility for consideration
- Ability to perform frequent physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and fine-finger movements
- Proficiency in computer applications, MS Office, EMR, and internet applications
