• On-call: 3 required calls within contract term; on-call pager rate applies

• Positions Available: 3 Labor & Delivery RN openings

• Floating:
May float to other units as safety companion, nurse aide, or transition nurse
Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license

• American Heart Association BLS certification

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider certification

• Electronic Fetal Monitoring Series Certificate of Completion (or equivalent AWHONN approved course)

• American Heart Association ACLS certification

• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN or PACU experience

• Competence and willingness to practice modified primary nursing

• Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility (travel nursing requirement)

• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and after-hours
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement patient and family education

• Assess patient needs and initiate appropriate interventions

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to patient health and situation

• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues

• Develop and implement individualized plans of care for mothers and newborns

• Promote health and a safe environment for patients and staff

• Float to Mother-Baby unit to take couplets, circulate/PACU, and triage as needed

• Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice

• Collaborate with patients, families, and colleagues in the conduct of nursing practice

• Integrate ethical provisions and research findings into all areas of practice

• Provide leadership and contribute to the professional development of peers
