A 300-bed Level II Trauma Center has retained Nealy Pierce to assist in recruiting a permanent Director of Nursing for their Senior Services population. This hospital is an award-winning, non‑profit, community hospital with some of the highest acuity levels in the state. This is an opportunity for a DON to join a community‑focused hospital with Magnet principles and evidence‑based practices, working alongside some of the top professionals in healthcare.

We are seeking an RN Director with a servant‑leader's heart who is passionate about patient care and quality above all else and wants to be well‑supported by the organization.

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION

Director of Nursing (DON) position overseeing a 64‑bed department, including a 32‑bed memory care unit and a 32‑bed long‑term care unit for a non‑profit health system. This position reports directly to the CNO, who enjoys mentoring and collaborating with her directors. The role will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the unit, including professional practices, employee management, and support staff, to ensure the departmental goals are being met and to provide the highest quality patient care possible.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Current licensure as an RN
  • Coachable and eager to grow as a leader
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative, team‑building personality style
  • Med/Surg, LTAC, Skilled or Assisted Living experience preferred
  • CMSRN or GERO‑BC certifications are a plus
