Wildland Restoration Team Leader
Montana Conservation Corps’ (MCC) mission is to inspire young people through hands-on conservation service to be leaders, stewards of the land and engaged citizens who improve their communities. Founded in 1991, MCC is a private, nonprofit organization. There are 4 regions, with approximately 40 staff and 300 members who serve each year in leader, member, or intern positions. MCC receives Federal grant money through the Corporation for National & Community Service.
This grant supports participant stipends, education awards, and our programming.
MCC offers crew-based programming that uses natural resource and community service projects to foster personal and crew development. While most work is done in the field, our goal is to help members develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to be active citizens in their communities.
Member DutiesAs a Crew Leader (CL), you will oversee 3-4 adult crew members on 4-9 day overnight conservation projects across some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Northern Rockies and Plains. Some crew leaders will lead solo, some with a co-leader, and others with an assistant crew leader. You will facilitate crew member growth, manage conflicts, and support your crew in delivering quality service in the field.
