Overview

A Supervisor, Production Process Operations at Mesa Labs leads a team of operators and technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and quality-driven manufacturing of sterilization and disinfection control indicators for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and dental sectors.

Compensation

Base Compensation Range: $63,000 – $78,750
Annual bonus opportunity: 12% based on company performance

Job Summary

The Supervisor, Production Process Operations manages and oversees day‑to‑day operations of a production team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost‑effective production of high‑quality products while maintaining compliance with regulatory and safety standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Team Supervision & Leadership: Supervise operators, technicians, and team leads; provide daily leadership; foster a positive work environment; conduct regular team meetings.
  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate with planning teams to ensure resources meet daily and weekly targets; monitor progress; optimize processes for minimal downtime and waste.
  • Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Monitor performance; implement improvements based on Lean, Six Sigma, and best practices; encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Oversee inspections; ensure adherence to ISO, FDA, GMP, or relevant standards; maintain accurate records; investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Promote and enforce safety protocols; conduct safety checks; ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Identify and address production issues; work with maintenance and engineering teams; lead root cause analysis for recurring problems.
  • Production Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate production records; prepare production reports; communicate status to senior management.
  • Resource Management: Allocate personnel, materials, and equipment; ensure timely delivery of raw materials; manage inventory levels.
Experience & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related field is preferred. Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge & Skillsets Required
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards.
  • Proficient in production management systems (e.g., ERP, MES) and MS Office.
  • Ability to analyze production data and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
Physical Demands (US Only)

Often for extended periods at desks or meetings.
