Responsibilities- Provide the pivotal first impression, setting the tone for the guest experience.
- Extend a genuinely friendly welcome to arriving guests. Help with doors and luggage, guiding guests to the front desk, assisting guests to their rooms, and offering tips about the property and room amenities.
- Respond helpfully to guest questions about the property, getting around and nearby happenings.
- Pitch in to help guests with special requests, room deliveries, and transportation arrangements when needed. Tidy the lobby and public areas and report any repair or maintenance needs.
- Assist with overnight cleaning duties: emptying trash receptacles, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Operate the shuttle for guests as required, which will require passing a driver background check.
- Open & close vehicle doors for guests and assist with storing and retrieving luggage.
- Utilize bell carts to transfer luggage and packages to and from rooms, vehicles, and loading areas.
- Maintain and clean the designated lobby station and baggage room. Ensure lobby areas are neat and clean at all times.
- Answer phones to assist PBX/Guest Calls and restock supplies at the front desk, business center, and grab-and-go areas.
- Provide travel directions and recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and services.
- Promptly report emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, mechanical problems, and safety hazards to management.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance in accordance with standards.
- Adhere to hotel taxi stand requirements and company policies; follow safety and security procedures and rules.
- Know department fire prevention and emergency procedures and utilize protective equipment; report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervisors.
- Assist other front desk personnel as needed and perform related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
- Responsible for all guest service functions including maintaining the bell station, greeting guests, handling luggage, providing directions, assisting the front desk in answering phones, and delivering items to guest rooms.
