* Position Summary:

** The Cardiac-Vascular Lab Tech (CVT) functions as an advocate and caregiver for all patients requiring invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures. The CVT is also an educator, mentor, facilitator and organizer for the department and organization.
*
* Minimum Qualifications:

**** Required
* ** Associates Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or graduate of an accredited Health Science Program
* One of the following Licensure/

Certifications:

* Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse), or
* Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or
* Cardiovascular Technician Certification, or
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
* American Heart Association BLS
* American Heart Association ACLS
* Two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire
* 6 months clinical training in the field of invasive cardiovascular procedures or comparable experience
** Preferred
* ** 2 years’ experience functioning independently as a Cardiovascular Technologist in an Invasive Lab

* Essential Job Functions:

** In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
* Provides direct care for patients during invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular procedures, addressing the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the Cardiac and Vascular Lab environment.
* Cross trains to multiple positions within the department.
* Participation in performance improvement and CQI activities.
* Complies with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines related to care for patients with hyperacute and acute stroke.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*** Strong leadership managerial skills; ability to plan, delegate, monitor and improve work performance
* Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
* Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

* Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains confidentiality
* Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications and standard office equipment
* Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
* Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversight
* Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork skills
** Schedule Requirements
*** This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
* The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
* On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
