* Position Summary:

** The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist I (MRI Tech I) provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment. Performs MRI procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies. Uses knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals.

Modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.

* Minimum Qualifications:

**** Required
* ** Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
* American Heart Association BLS within 60 days of hire
* Certified MRI Technician certification with 90 days of hire
* Previous MRI experience

* Essential Job Functions:

** In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
* Performs MRI exams and procedures as requested by the medical staff.
* Assists the Radiologists and other medical staff during exams and procedures.
* Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams and procedures.
* Completes documentation, in designated area, of all information required for proper interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval of exams.
* Retrieves prior images, studies, written orders, and related health information to insure the timely performance and reporting of MRI exams and procedures.
* Performs routine inspections and maintenance on scanner and archives imaging data.
* Participates in the implementation, monitoring, and improvement of the hospital quality indicators as described in the strategic plan.

* The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
