Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Three years’ experience in related field
• AAS or similar degree in related field
• Demonstrated experience working with and engaging students and colleagues within and outside the department

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Five or more years’ experience in the field their topic of instruction relates to course content
• Bachelor degree in related field
• Industry standard Professional Certification in software (if teaching software)
• Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff enrichment

• Work professionally and effectively with individuals and groups.
• Possess effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Have the ability to contribute positively to the academic success of the students and the mission of Gallatin College Montana State University.

In the Design Drafting Technology program, students acquire the skills necessary for entry-level drafting jobs in the design/drafting industry using computer-based systems to produce technical illustrations used in manufacturing, production, and construction. Sometimes called a CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) technician, students will create design concepts that are workable in the real world. Using the CAD software, students perform calculations, develop simulations, and manipulate and modify the displayed material.
